Classic Oakland Estate Wedding

Katherine and Tyler’s wedding at Oakland Estate in Manitoba felt like a story years in the making. Fitting for two high school sweethearts who have grown up side by side.

Rain lingered for much of the day, but just before their ceremony, the skies cleared. The air felt fresh, the light softened, and the estate grounds seemed to glow. Their vows unfolded under textured clouds that added depth without distraction: dramatic, but calm.

Throughout the day, Katherine and Tyler were exactly as they’ve always been: steady, kind, and quietly joyful. There’s something different about photographing couples who have shared so much history. The comfort is built in. The laughter comes easily. The moments don’t need prompting.

As evening approached, the sky shifted again … this time into one of the most striking sunsets of the season. Layered clouds stretched across the horizon, catching warm light in a way that felt almost unreal. Some of our favourite images of the year were made in those final minutes.

Oakland Estate continues to be one of Manitoba’s most beautiful wedding venues, and this day was a reminder that weather often adds character rather than complication. Serving couples across Manitoba and Alberta, we’ve learned that the most meaningful images come when couples simply lean into the moment, exactly as Katherine and Tyler did.

Let’s capture your love story for a lifetime
