Rain-Kissed Romance at The Leaf & Bridges Golf Course
Chelsea and Evanβs August 17, 2025 wedding day was a true Manitoba classic: unpredictable skies, quick timeline pivots, and a whole lot of joy.
Their first look and portraits took place at The Leaf in Winnipeg and the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, where modern architecture and curated greenery gave us a striking contrast to what the weather had planned. The rain arrived early and stayed steady for much of the day, moving their outdoor ceremony indoors. The shift created an unexpectedly intimate atmosphere, with the sound of rain outside only amplifying the emotion inside.
Later, at Bridges Golf Course in Starbuck, Manitoba, we watched the radar closely. Between showers, we found a 20-minute window to step out onto the course. The misty fairways, dramatic skies, and soft post-rain light gave their portraits a depth that sunshine alone couldnβt have created. It felt cinematic, but real.
By the time the reception began, the weather didnβt matter at all. Their friends packed the dance floor from the first song, and the energy carried late into the evening. It was the kind of celebration that feels effortless and lasting.
Rain may have shaped the timeline, but it never touched the joy. As wedding photographers and videographers serving Manitoba and Alberta, days like this remind us that flexibility and trust always lead to unforgettable images.
