A Timeless Summer Celebration
Mikayla and Daniel were married on a sun-filled August day at the Anglican Church of St Mary the Virgin in Virden, Manitoba, with the kind of prairie light that carries beautifully from morning into evening.
Inside the historic church, natural light streamed through the windows as they exchanged vows, creating a timeless and intimate atmosphere. Afterward, we headed to Victoria Park in Virden for bridal party portraits. The late-summer greenery and relaxed energy made for joyful, effortless images.
Their reception took place in the hall connected to the church, where warm lights, heartfelt speeches, and familiar faces filled the space.
As the sun began to set, we stepped out for evening portraits, and the prairie sky delivered one of its signature moments. Endless horizon, golden fields, and soft August light wrapped around them in a way that felt expansive yet personal. Out there, with nothing but open land and sky, the scale of the landscape made their connection feel even more grounded.
Itβs one of the reasons we love documenting weddings across Manitoba and Alberta: the landscape becomes part of the story.
From emotional moments at the altar to golden prairie skies at sunset, Mikayla and Danielβs wedding day was heartfelt, relaxed, and beautifully timeless.
